Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- A new postage stamp (one individual stamp) was issued in commemoration of the 90th anniversary of the March First Popular Uprising in Korea.
The March First Popular Uprising was an event of historic significance that dealt a heavy blow to the brutal Japanese imperialists through a nation-wide struggle of the Korean nation against the aggressors.
Printed in the stamp with the letters "Commemoration of 90th Anniversary of March First Popular Uprising" on its upper part and letters "Juche 8 (1919)-Juche 98 (2009)" on its lower part is a picture showing the heroic features of Korean people who turn out in the struggle against the Japanese imperialists, shouting the slogan "Long Live the Korean Independence!"
