The statement deplored that the privileged circle which accounts for just one percent of the society has been busy raking up its profits over the last twelve months since the Lee "government" emerged while the democracy of south Korea has been more savagely violated than in days of the past military dictatorship.

The Lee Myung Bak "government" is a dictatorial regime, the statement said, adding that the "Lee's evil bills" the Grand National Party of south Korea seeks to railroad through the "National Assembly" are nothing but tools for more firmly buttressing the dictatorial power.

The statement noted that the south-north relations are also inching closer to the brink of a war due to the confrontational moves of the present "government," calling on all the people to turn out in the struggle to force the Lee regime to step down.
