The June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration are programmes for reunification common to the nation as they clearly indicate the fundamental principle for the development of the inter-Korean relations and ways for doing so and how to approach these declarations serves, therefore, as a touchstone distinguishing reunification from division, the article notes, and goes on:

The Lee Myung Bak group fundamentally negated and ignored the inter-Korean declarations from the outset.

The improvement of the inter-Korean relations is a prerequisite to achieving national reunification.

This notwithstanding, no sooner had the group come to office than pushed the inter-Korean relations to the crisis of total severance and stood in the way of achieving national reconciliation, unity and reunification by pursuing an unprecedentedly wicked policy of confrontation with the DPRK.

The above-said policy is one for a war of aggression against the DPRK and it is, therefore, the root cause of military conflict and war between the north and the south.

Due to the reckless moves stepped up by the puppet warmongers to escalate the military confrontation pursuant to the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK the peace on the Korean Peninsula has been seriously harassed and the security of the Koreans gravely threatened.

The group has committed too serious moves for confrontation with fellow countrymen and too many crimes against the nation to evade punishment by history.

Only when the Lee Myung Bak group, the root cause of all misfortune of the nation, is thrown overboard as early as possible, can the Koreans live in peace and achieve their desire for independent reunification and peace and prosperity.

The elimination of the Lee group of traitors is desired by all the Koreans and the faster they do, the better, concludes the article.
