Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- The chief of the military working group of the DPRK side in the area under the control of the north and the south in the Eastern and Western regions sent a notice to the puppet military of the south side Saturday in connection with the recent evermore undisguised provocations and violations by the U.S. troops in the area along the Military Demarcation Line (MDL). It said: A touch-and-go situation persists on the Korean Peninsula due to the frantic moves of the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors to escalate confrontation with the DPRK. It is against this backdrop that the U.S. is working overtly and covertly to strain the situation, pursuant to a sinister scenario to realize its ambition to stifle the DPRK at any cost. A typical example is that the U.S. imperialist aggression forces in south Korea are stalking in groups in the above-said area any time they please. On Jan. 5 and 21 they approached as close as 30 meters from the MDL in the area under the control of the north and the south in the Western region and took photographs of a post of the DPRK side and monitored vehicles passing through the MDL. 62 personnel and 58 vehicles entered the area 100 meters from the MDL in the said area on as many as 66 occasions up to February 20 this year. Such acts perpetrated by the U.S. forces in area along the MDL at the tacit connivance of the south side at a time when the north-south relations are inching close to the brink of a war may touch off unpredictable military conflicts. The south side should never forget that the Korean People's Army is keeping itself fully ready for all-out confrontation. If the U.S. forces keep behaving arrogantly in the area under the control of the north and the south, the KPA will take a resolute counteraction. The U.S. imperialists and the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors had better behave with discretion. |
