The resolution said that the March First Popular Uprising was a nationwide anti-Japanese patriotic resistance to retake the country and the sovereignty of the Korean nation usurped by the Japanese imperialist aggressors. Through the uprising, the Korean nation strikingly demonstrated itself at home and abroad as a nation with the spirit of independence and indomitable will not to allow any encroachment upon its dignity and sovereignty while refusing to be reduced to a slave to outsiders, it added.

It further said:

We will firmly defend the national dignity and sovereignty by giving full play to the proud tradition of independence and the patriotic spirit and categorically reject any action of destroying the national reconciliation and unity and seeking confrontation and war.

We will further strengthen the June 15 All-Korean Committee, realize the great unity of patriotic forces of different strata for reunification and democracy at home and abroad and wage a vigorous struggle against Japan's hostile actions and militarist reinvasion moves.

The resolution called upon all Koreans in the north and the south and abroad to dynamically advance along the road of independent reunification, indicated by the north-south joint declaration, in high spirits with firm confidence in victory and optimism.
