Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- Working people and school youth and children of the DPRK are turning out in planting trees in spring on the occasion of the tree-planting day.
On Monday members of the women's union planted pine-nut trees, chestnut trees, ginkgo trees and various species of trees and flower shrubs in the Arboretum of the Kumsusan Memorial Palace and trade union members on Moran Hill, school youth and children on Munsu Hill and agricultural workers on Mt. Ryongak.
Senior Party and state officials, the chairman of a friendly party, officials of ministries and national institutions planted trees together with working people from all walks of life and school youth and children
Trees were planted by the Ministry of Railways and in South Phyongan, South Hamgyong, North Hwanghae and other provinces and cities and counties on the same day.
