Born as daughter of a tenant, she had to undergo every kind of humiliation and contempt in sorrow of being a member of the ruined nation in the past. It was after the liberation of the country by President Kim Il Sung that she could lead a happy life, being blessed with good health under the popular policy of the Workers' Party of Korea and the State and by the benefits of the public health system.

She still keeps working such as cultivating vegetable garden while leading an optimistic life.
