Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- The preparatory committee for the "Truth and Justice" Joint Measure Committee for Solution to the Textbook Problem, the History Teachers Association and other civic and public organizations of south Korea held a seminar in Seoul on Feb. 24, at which they condemned the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors' scheme to retrogressively revise textbooks. Speakers at the seminar disclosed that the campaign for the retrogressive revision of textbooks has become evermore pronounced since it started with the revision of history textbooks after the emergence of the Lee "government." They accused the "government" of seeking to retrogressively revise the textbooks on all social subjects, at a time when the controversy on the distortion of history textbooks is getting unabated. Measures should be taken for education, they held, demanding that an independent "committee for educational courses" involving all fabrics of society be formed to this end. |
