Present there were Minister of Education Kim Yong Jin, chairman of the DPRK-Cuba Solidarity Committee, Paek Yong Ho, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and members of the DPRK-Cuba Solidarity Committee.

Jose Manuel Galego Montano, Cuban ambassador to the DPRK, and embassy officials were on hand.

It reviewed the work done by the committee over the last one year to boost the friendship and solidarity with the Cuban people who have advanced under the uplifted banner of socialism while foiling the imperialists' sanctions, blockade and moves to isolate and stifle their country and defending its sovereignty and revolutionary gains under the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba and discussed its action plan for this year.
