"Among the People" Vol. 78 Off Press

Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- The Workers' Party of Korea Publishing House brought out Volume 78 of "Among the People", a collection of reminiscences. The book contains 18 reminiscences showing President Kim Il Sung's noble intention of believing in people as in Heaven, his leadership characterized by patriotic devotion and noble popular personality. Reminiscences titled "In the days when the President was translating into reality the line of simultaneously pushing ahead with the economic construction and defence upbuilding" and "When recollecting the days when the history of lighting for film production began" tell stories that the President firmly believed in the working class and encouraged it to stand in the van of the struggle to carry out the line of the Party and devoted his efforts to the development of the lighting technology for film production after the liberation of the country. Reminiscences titled "Inerasable footprints left in the Taehongdan revolutionary battle site" and "Unforgettable memory of youthhood" recount touching stories about what profound loving care the President showed for the lecturers in the revolutionary battle site and young officials of the Suphung Power Station. Reminiscences titled "The problem of transport for the construction of the Wiwon Power Station was thus solved" and "A day the President spent for coal miners" tell stories that the President indicated ways of settling the problem of transport on the spot and encouraged the coal miners in Anju to boost the coal production. "Visiting our shop" and "With the desire to get our people dressed better" and other reminiscences deal with the moving stories that the President showed such care as making sure that the production of varieties of knit wear was increased and the commodity supply was improved, exerting great efforts for improving the standard of the people's living. Reminiscences titled "Helping the bereaved children to firmly defend the class position" and "Remembering the soldier who died long ago" impressively tell stories that the President took care of the bereaved children so that they might defend their hometowns associated with the blood shed by their parents and trained revolutionary soldiers out of noble sense of obligation and showed warm loving care for them even after their death. The book also contains reminiscences dealing with the noble personality of the President who devoted his all to the rising generation and highly praised an official in the field of railways who devotedly performed his duty for several decades after successfully sprucing up his railway station. |
