Elimination of Pro-Japanese, Pro-American Forces Urged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, March 5 (KCNA) -- Organizations of south Korea released statements on Sunday to mark the 90th anniversary of the March First Popular Uprising, at which they called for putting period to outsiders' domination and intervention and realizing national independence.

The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification said that the uprising demonstrated the strong self-esteem of the Koreans determined to reject the imperialists' colonial domination and remain an independent and dignified nation.

90 years have passed since then, but south Korea is now in a wretched plight where the GIs lord it over and the sycophantic and treacherous forces beautifying Japan's past monstrous crimes are swaggering about, it deplored.

Contending that the pro-U.S. and pro-Japanese traitors should be certainly wiped out to ensure the genuine independence of the nation, the organization called for a massive struggle to overthrow the Lee Myung Bak flunkeyist regime.

The Action Headquarters of the Youth and Students Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration to Force the Lee Myung Bak Regime to Step Down charged that the Lee "government" has resorted to confrontation with the fellow countrymen while calling for "alliance" with the U.S. and Japan, thus bedeviling the inter-Korean relations and bringing the dark clouds of war to the Korean Peninsula.

The organization declared that it would stand in the van of the struggle to implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and force the Lee regime, a group of anti-reunification elements, to step down and intensify the struggle to drive the U.S. forces out of south Korea.

On the same day, members of reunification movement organizations, including the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration, and citizens held a rally in Seoul and made public a declaration stressing that they would fight to the last to win democracy and accelerate national reunification.
