Displayed in the venues of the functions were works of Kim Jong Il, photos showing his immortal feats and books and photos introducing the Korean people in the efforts for building a great prosperous and powerful nation and achieving national reunification.

Pasquale Felice, chief of the Firenze Group under the Italian Committee for the Study of the Juche idea, said at the seminar that Kim Jong Il proclaimed the modeling of the whole society on the Juche idea as the highest programme of the Workers' Party of Korea as early as in the 1970s and set forth the strategy of struggle for carrying out the revolution and construction with the Juche idea as the guidelines.

Kim Jong Il systematized in a comprehensive and integral way the Juche idea authored by President Kim Il Sung to provide the ideological and theoretical weapon for the victory of the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence, he noted.

The secretary general of the Union Solidarity and Development Association of Myanmar said in the lecture that Kim Jong Il, guided by the noble idea "The people are my God," always shares sweets and bitters with the people while being ready to cultivate a flower on a rock if the people want.

It is the will of the army and people of the DPRK to fling open the gate to a thriving nation in 2012 marking the centenary of the birth of the President under the leadership of Kim Jong Il, he said, adding that socialist Korea will emerge victorious thanks to Kim Jong Il.
