The statement noted that the association scathingly condemns the said DPRK-targeted large-scale war exercises to be staged by the U.S. and south Korea across south Korea from March 9.

The provocative war exercises are incompatible with dialogue in any case and can be justified with nothing as they are a dangerous action for a war designed to render the regional situation strained and destroy the process of peace and reconciliation in the Korean Peninsula, the statement said, and went on:

All the facts go to clearly prove that the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet bellicose forces are the mastermind of wrecking the peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula.

The association strongly demands that the U.S. put an end to its hostile policy towards the DPRK, immediately stop the military exercises in south Korea and withdraw all its armed forces for aggression including the weapons of mass destruction at once if it truly wants the detente and peace on the Korean Peninsula.

The statement expressed full support for the just cause of the Korean people.
