It is the criminal intention and strategy of the U.S. imperialists to keep their supremacy and put the world under their control by force, the commentary points out, and says:

The U.S. imperialists have regarded the establishment of MD system as important part of implementing the military strategy for supremacy in the new century.

With this wild ambition, the U.S. unilaterally abrogated the ABM treaty, which served as a cornerstone of strategic stability and a basis for reducing strategic offensive weapons in the past, during the Bush administration. And it has been persistently working to establish the MD system at any cost under the pretext of "protection" and "security," pouring an exorbitant amount of funds in this scheme.

It is as clear as noonday that if the U.S. establishment of MD system is stepped up, this would cause complicated situation, seriously threaten and wreck peace and increase the danger of a war.

Under this situation, not only those countries without any nuke and missile but also those countries with comparably less nuclear weapons and missiles are compelled to take military measures against the U.S. nuclear and missile threat. In actuality, various countries are putting spurs to increasing the military capability. Besides, big powers do not remain a passive onlooker to the U.S. scheme for establishing MD system but are taking corresponding measures. That is why it is needless to say that the U.S. moves for securing the military edge will trigger off a new arms race and a cold war.

In history there were many forces that ran amuck in conquering the world. But, none of them could realize their ambition to conquer the world.

Today when independence has become the trend of the times and the progressive forces' strength is growing unprecedentedly, it is quite impossible for the U.S. to realize its ambition to dominate the world.

The U.S. would be advised to assess the reality cool-headedly and lucidly and drop its hegemonic policy against the history and peace.
