Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- Members of different organizations of south Korea, including the Confederation of Trade Unions, the Solidarity for Social Progress, the Seoul District Federation of University Students and the University Students Solidarity for Culture, and Internet users held a rally in Seoul on Mar. 7 to declare a solidarity struggle for probing the truth behind the killing of evacuees in Ryongsan.
Speakers at the rally recalled that recently the security authorities issued summons, arrest warrants and others against the members of the All-People Committee for Measures against the Murder of Evacuees in Ryongsan one after another.
This is a manifestation of the "government's" trick to cover up its crime of killing the evacuees and contain the committee's activities, they charged, stressing: The committee will not stop its actions no matter how harsh the authorities' suppression is.
They declared that the people from all walks of life would fight in unity to probe the truth behind the tragic death of evacuees and demand the release of the detainees and the punishment of the chief murderer.
