The resolution referred to the fact that the inter-Korean relations, which had vigorously advanced after the publication of the June 15 joint declaration, have encountered a grave challenge since the emergence of the pro-U.S. conservative regime in south Korea last year.

The United States has kept its aggression armed forces in south Korea for over six decades while hindering the reconciliation and unity of the Korean nation and the improvement of the inter-Korean relations, and it is aggravating the military tension day by day, persistently pursuing the hostile policy towards the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), contrary to the trend of the times, it charged.

The U.S. is these days intensifying the war moves such as reinforcement and deployment of its armed forces around the Korean Peninsula, it pointed out, adding:

We scathingly denounce the hostile policy towards the DPRK of the U.S. which escalates the political and military tension and brings the dark clouds of war, going against the unanimous desire of the Korean nation and the trend of the times, and the anti-DPRK, anti-reunification moves of the south Korean conservative authorities following such policy.

We demand that the U.S. stop the anachronistic hostile moves against the DPRK at once, discontinue the military exercises and arms buildup causing a danger of war, replace the Korean Armistice Agreement with a peace accord and withdraw its troops from south Korea.

We strongly urge the south Korean conservative authorities to abandon their pro-American sycophancy and conception of hostility towards the fellow countrymen, faithfully implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration agreed and published by the north and south of Korea and positively come out in realizing the national reconciliation and unity in the idea of the "By the Korean nation itself."

Acknowledging that the Songun politics of the DPRK serves as a political mode deterring the reckless war moves for aggression of the U.S. and the south Korean conservative authorities and reliably guaranteeing peace and security in the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia and the world, we extend full support and solidarity to the workers and other people of the DPRK dynamically advancing towards the independent reunification, peace and prosperity.
