The statement said that the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises staged with the huge aggression armed forces involved are another proof showing that the new U.S. administration's promise to settle the issue of the Korean Peninsula through dialogue is nothing but rhetoric and that the U.S. remains unchanged in its ambition for aggression against the DPRK.

The exercises are a very dangerous provocation which can be seen only on the eve of war and an undisguised military threat and a declaration of war, it stressed.

Noting that the unpredictable dangerous situation is prevailing on the Korean Peninsula owing to the war moves of the U.S. and the south Korean conservative authorities, the statement expressed full support for the report of the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army and the statement of a spokesman for the KPA General Staff issued to cope with it.

It strongly demanded that the U.S. and the south Korean authorities stop at once the adventurous and aggressive joint military exercises against the DPRK and that the U.S. withdraw all its aggression armed forces from south Korea immediately.

The Communist Youth Movement of Czechoslovakia, too, released a statement on the same day, condemning the said provocative joint military exercises.
