Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes this in a signed commentary. The U.S. claim that the concentration is a measure to cope with the "threat to the Asian region" is no more than sheer sophism and a twisted logic, the commentary notes, and goes on:

Explicitly speaking, the threat to the Asian region is not posed by someone else but the U.S.

The concentration is a revelation of the U.S. undisguised scenario to perpetuate the presence of the U.S. imperialist aggressors in south Korea and realize its ambition to dominate the Asia-Pacific region.

As a matter of fact, the U.S. is massively introducing ultra-modern equipment into south Korea and intensifying the military exercises simulating mobile operations inside and outside south Korea under the signboard of realizing the "strategic flexibility" of the U.S. forces present in south Korea.

It is very disturbing military moves for the U.S. imperialists to opt for expanding the U.S. military bases in south Korea and concentrating its forces on them.

The U.S. is sadly mistaken if it thinks it can realize its ambition to dominate the Asian region by force of arms. The U.S. would be well advised to face up to the reality and drop its foolish scenario for hegemony.
