It charged that the U.S. is further aggravating the situation of the Korean Peninsula, terming the DPRK's preparations for launching an experimental communications satellite "provocation."

If the DPRK's satellite launch is regarded as a military action because it has ballistic technology as high as the U.S. and Japan do, the space activities of some countries should be considered to be a threat to other countries, the statement stressed.
