Present at the meeting were members of the committee and officials in the sports field.

It reviewed the work done by the committee in Juche 97 (2008) and discussed on the orientation of the work for June 98 (2009.)

A report was delivered by Pak Hak Son, chairman of the Physical Culture and Sports Guidance Commission, who doubles as chairman of the said committee, to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers referred to the successes and experience the committee gained in the 29th Olympic Games, the 2008 Under-17 Women's World Cup and other international games by intensifying its work last year.

They proposed the tasks to be fulfilled to effect a great leap forward and innovations in the sports field of the country by further enhancing the functions and roles of the above-mentioned committee, the football, weightlifting and gymnastic associations and others and ways to do so.
