Pyongyang, March 20 (KCNA) -- Members of civic and social organizations in south Korea including the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification staged a demonstration in front of the U.S. forces' firing range in Phochon, Kyonggi Province on March 17 in protest against the live shell firing exercise of the U.S. and the puppet marine corps, part of the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises.
Demonstrators condemned the warmongers for staging the exercise in the area along the Military Demarcation Line, kicking up war hysteria.
They declared they bitterly condemn all moves for a war of aggression against the north staged under the signboard of the "transfer of the right to command wartime operations".
They offered resistance against the riot police, shouting slogans "the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle exercises are for a war of aggression" and "the GIs haven't protected the south Koreans but we people have covered even their upkeep."
