Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- A lecture was held in Democratic Congo and a photo and book exhibition and a friendly gathering at the Laos-Korea Youth Friendship Centre on Mar. 11 and 16 on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's election as chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission.
Displayed at the photo and book exhibition hall were photos and books showing the Songun revolutionary exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
Jean Baptiste Nkoy, general secretary of the People's Rally for Socialism of Democratic Congo, in the lecture said that thanks to the indefatigable Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il the Korean People's Army has further strengthened into a matchlessly invincible army fully prepared politico-ideologically and in military technique and acquired the reliable war deterrent able to frustrate the enemies' any aggression.
A member of the Vientiane City Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union and other participants in the friendly gathering said that the KPA founded by Kim Il Sung and led by
Kim Jong Il is invincible and that it will always emerge ever-victorious under the great Songun leadership.
