This has been proved by the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises recently staged by the U.S., the commentary notes, adding that the exercises were an extremely adventurous rehearsal of operation for attack on the DPRK, a nuclear test war, unprecedented in history in view of the scale of aggression armed forces involved in the exercises and their period.

Through the recent rehearsal the U.S. imperialists further rounded off the preparations for igniting another Korean war and seriously threatened and blackmailed the DPRK, it says, and goes on:

The U.S. is going to continue the anti-DPRK war exercises with the mobilization of latest arms equipment in the future, too.

The DPRK and the U.S. are technically at war. It will be the height of folly for one side to sit back with folded arms when the other side is sharpening the sword to kill it.

The tense situation in which a war may break out any moment is prevailing on the Korean Peninsula due to the anti-DPRK military racket of the U.S. bellicose forces. The present reality compels the army and people of the DPRK to harden their will to further increase the self-reliant military capability for self-defence with the heightened vigilance.

It is a very legitimate exercise of sovereignty for the DPRK to build up its self-reliant military capability in order to defend the supreme interests and security of the country from the U.S. imperialists' reckless moves for provoking a new war.

The self-reliant defence capability of the DPRK serves as the reliable shield for preventing a war and the strong military guarantee for defending its sovereignty and peace.

The army and people of the DPRK will as ever direct big efforts to bolstering the war deterrent to cope with the U.S. imperialists' moves for aggression on the DPRK being intensified with each passing day.
