The appeal said: The situation of the Korean Peninsula has been driven into the worst crisis due to the south Korean conservative authorities' moves for extreme confrontation with the DPRK. No one can predict when this will spark off a nuclear war which will bring horrible disasters to the Koreans.

The group of traitors has not an iota of national consciousness but is steeped in the idea of depending on outside forces and sycophancy towards the U.S., the appeal noted, and continued:

"No nukes" touted by the group is aimed to disarm the DPRK and pave the way for the U.S. and Japan, its masters, to invade the DPRK and its loudmouthed "opening" is designed to stand up against the system of the DPRK and foster the confrontation between the differing two systems. This has already been brought to light.

Only scream is heard from all parts of south Korea due to the worst economic crisis and the deterioration of the people's living and this prompts the group of traitors to set out on mendicant diplomacy in a bid to bring the situation under control with the help of foreign monopoly capital. This being a hard reality, the group put up the watchword of "3 000 dollars" only to be a laughing stock of the world people. Even a mere child knows that the above-said watchword is nothing but a crafty and poor trick to hoodwink the public.

The "lost decade" and the like oft-repeated by the group are no more than a ploy not only to totally deny the stirring inter-Korean relations, the fruition of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, but bring to naught everything gained through the struggle of the south Korean people for social democracy and other actions.

Calling upon all the compatriots in the north and the south and overseas to resolutely reject the sycophantic and treacherous idea of giving priority to outside forces advocated by the Lee group and firmly protect the dignity and interests of the nation under the banner of "By our nation itself", the appeal went on:

It is imperative to repudiate and denounce the watchwords of "no nukes, opening and 3,000 dollars" aimed at hamstringing any effort to warm up the inter-Korean relations and inciting confrontation and war put up by the Lee group, availing itself of foreign forces' nuclear racket against the DPRK, and throw them into the dumping ground of history.

All Koreans in the north and the south and overseas should decisively smash the reckless moves of the U.S. and the Lee group to start a war of aggression against the DPRK, giving top priority to the security of the nation irrespective of ism and partisan interests and strategy.

South Korea can never get rid of the present confusion and crisis nor can the inter-Korean relations improve as long as such fascist dictators and anti-reunification and confrontation-minded elements as the Lee group are allowed to ride roughshod there.

All Koreans in the north and the south and overseas, sternly judge the group of traitors for negating the historic north-south declarations and refusing to implement them!

Throw overboard all the ultra-right anti-reunification and confrontation-minded elements running riot in league with traitor Lee!

Bring a definite end to the Lee group of traitors, the root cause of all sorts of calamities, by carrying forward the glorious tradition of the April 19, May 18 and June popular resistance struggles!

The appeal called upon them to turn out as one in a nation-wide march to open up the gate to the country's reunification in 2012, the historic year, true to the great Songun leadership.
