Attending it were delegations and delegates of at least 100 political parities and organizations from over 40 countries, including the DPRK, China and Cuba, and members of the direction of the Workers' Party of Mexico. And present there on invitation were personages of the Mexican parliament and broad progressive front organizations and diplomatic envoys of various countries to Mexico.

At the seminar delegates of political parties and organizations of different countries stressed the need for the progressive political parties to maintain the revolutionary principle and stand against the U.S.-led imperialists to cope with their strategy for domination and strengthen the internationalist unity and solidarity among political parties in the world aspiring after socialism.

They noted with high appreciation that the Workers' Party of Korea has been firmly defending the sovereignty of the country and the cause of socialism from the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK and moves to stifle it, holding high the banner of Songun, and expressed full support and solidarity with it.

A joint statement was adopted at the seminar in support of the WPK and the Korean people in their efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation and reunify the country.

The statement said that it is an important internationalist duty of all the progressive political parties and the peace-loving peoples to support the struggle of the WPK and the Korean people.

It hoped that the heroic Korean people would achieve admirable successes in the general advance for bolstering the national power and building a great prosperous and powerful socialists nation.

Alberto Anaya Gutierrez, coordinator (leader) of the National Coordinating Committee of the Workers' Party of Mexico, presented a letter to General Secretary Kim Jong Il on behalf of all the participants of the seminar as regards the successful holding of it.

The letter noted that Kim Jong Il set a worldwide example by not only turning the DPRK into the socialist power of Juche but also honorably defending the sovereignty and dignity of the country and the nation while standing against imperialism.

The revolutionary stamina and the indomitable spirit of the WPK and the Korean people serve as an inspiring banner giving confidence in victory to the all the progressive political parties and peoples the world over struggling for independence against imperialism and for socialism, it stressed.
