Attending it were officials of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, personages concerned in Africa and Taekwon-Do players from different countries including South Africa, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, UK and India.

Present on invitation were the ambassador and staff members of the DPRK embassy in South Africa.

The inauguration of the federation was declared, its rules and regulations adopted and members of its leadership elected there.

Speeches were made by the general executive director of the ITF and the secretary general of the ATF.

Then, the 1st African Open Taekwon-Do Championships were held until Mar. 22.

A letter to General Secretary Kim Jong Il was adopted there.
