Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes this in a signed commentary.

It goes on:

The Lee group insulted the favorably developing inter-Korean relations as "lost decade" and groundlessly slandered the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, approved and supported by all the Koreans, and openly refused to implement them as soon as it took office. This is an undisguised revelation of its "hard-line policy toward the north."

The group has staged the dangerous joint military exercises against the DPRK, thus quelling the atmosphere of dialogue and peace. Nevertheless, it is labeling the DPRK's steps as "tough attitude" and "creation of crisis." This is a brazen-faced attempt to evade its blame for the prevailing situation and a shameless remark of making fun of the public opinion, which reminds one of a thief crying "Stop the thief!"

With no wordplay the south Korean authorities can evade their criminal responsibility for having destroyed the inter-Korean relations, which were advancing toward reconciliation and unity, and escalated the confrontation.

Their sophism will only reveal their true colors as the criminal who is chiefly responsible for the bedeviled inter-Korean relations and aggravated tension.

If the Lee group feels guilty, it should make a switchover in its policy, though belatedly, far from resorting to such foolish actions as distorting the reality and deceiving the public opinion.
