The deployment of Hyuga for military action reminds one of the hateful picture of Japan in the "era of empire" which was ill-famed for its aggression, plunder, murder and arson, and herein lies the danger of the manufacture and deployment of the ship, Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary says.

It goes on:

A carrier played the pivotal role in conducting the Japanese imperialists' past operations for overseas aggression. After the Second World War, the Japanese reactionaries had directed priority efforts to bolstering up the naval force, the manufacture of modern battleships in particular, in order to make preparations for overseas aggression.

Japan's plan for production of such large-size warships as an aircraft carrier itself is illegal and dangerous in view of its "Pacifist Constitution".

The Japanese reactionaries have further rounded off the military preparations for reviving the past picture of Japan in the "era of empire" and staging the naval offensive operation in full gear.

They are making desperate efforts to start the reinvasion, dreamed up by it for decades after the war, by fostering and escalating disputes in Asia and other regions while furthering the SDF's overseas military operation.

No one knows when they will provoke a military clash against the DPRK, their first target, as they have pushed forward the preparations for overseas aggression with much pain for scores of years after the war in an attempt to revenge Japan's past defeat.

The Japanese bellicose forces should be mindful that they are bound to go to ruin if they continue getting hell-bent on such moves.
