Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- A Mongolian preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung was inaugurated with due ceremony at the building of the Federation of Peace and Friendship Organizations of Mongolia on March 27.
Ch. Surenjav, chairman of the Mongolia-Korea Friendship Society, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.
Its action program to be carried out until 2012 was made public at the ceremony.
The preparatory committee decided to conduct in the capital city and localities such colorful political and cultural events as meeting, art performance and photo and handcraft exhibition praising the undying feats performed by the President in developing the friendly relations between the two countries and accomplishing the human cause of independence and widely introduce the greatness of the three commanders of Mt. Paektu.
