The general secretary hoped that the Korean people would achieve bigger successes in their efforts to build socialism and achieve the country's reunification and in their struggle against imperialism under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The general secretary said that the economic crisis sweeping the world at present goes to prove that socialism alone is a genuine society guaranteeing a worthy life of the working masses.

The general secretary reiterated that the Communist Party of Greece would invariably support the just cause of the Workers' Party of Korea defending socialism and emerging ever-victorious, not yielding to the imperialists' threat of aggression but frustrating their moves to stifle the DPRK.
