On this occasion, the Korean people are looking back with deep emotion on the ideological and theoretical exploits of Kim Jong Il in glorifying the Juche philosophy as the revolutionary philosophy of the era of independence.

In his work, he makes it clear that the Juche philosophy is a man-centered philosophy and fundamentally differs from human philosophy.

The Juche philosophy raises the fundamental question of philosophy by regarding man as the main factor and elucidates an outlook on the world, a viewpoint and attitude towards the world by focusing on man.

Human philosophy is a philosophy of life which denies the inherent mission of philosophy as a science that gives an outlook on the world and mainly interprets what man and life are.

The fundamental question of the Juche philosophy does not purely concern the human question, but the relations between man and the world; the principle of the Juche philosophy does not merely represent an outlook on human life, but an outlook on the world.

It also regards man as an independent, creative and conscious social being in the outlook of man.

Kim Jong Il fully expounds questions of principle arising in understanding the Juche philosophy such as the question of correctly understanding the outlook and viewpoint on and stand towards the world clarified by the Juche philosophy and the question of having a correct understanding of the essential features of man.

In his work, he says: The Juche philosophy newly elucidated the essential features of man and his position and role as dominator and transformer of the world, and thus raised his dignity and value to the highest level possible. This is the great achievement of the Juche philosophy that no other philosophical thougths have accomplished.

The revolutionary theory of the leader can serve as a guiding principle of the revolution and construction, not losing its vitality, only when it is steadily developed in depth in compliance with the requirements of the times and the developing revolution.

Kim Jong Il strictly defended the purity of the Juche philosophy founded by President Kim Il Sung and glorified it as the revolutionary philosophy of the present times and definitely turned it into a weapon of struggle of the popular masses by publishing such famous works as "The Juche Philosophy Is an Original Revolutionary Philosophy" and "On Having a Correct Viewpoint and Understanding of the Juche Philosophy".

The slogan "Let Us Live Our Own Way!" vividly reflects the strong independent spirit of the Korean people firmly armed with the Juche philosophy.

The Korean people will solve all the problems arising in the revolution and construction their own way and endeavor more vigorously for the accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche, cherishing the high pride of holding Kim Jong Il, a great ideologist and theoretician, in high esteem.
