Lee Myung Bak Regime's Fascist Suppression Blasted
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- The Lee Myung Bak regime is working hard to bind all fabrics of society to the chains of dictatorship by blocking the just advance of progressive forces of different circles for national unity, reunification, democracy and the right to existence. This fascist suppression comes under fire by a signed commentary of Rodong Sinmun Wednesday.

The south Korean authorities disallowed the visit to Pyongyang by members of the South Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration under a groundless pretext, the commentary recalls, and goes on: This was an undemocratic and anti-reunification tyrannical action as it was designed to disturb any effort to achieve national reconciliation and unity, displeased with them, and bar the inter-Korean relations from improving.

The south Korean authorities are suppressing principal participants in the rallies and meetings held by organizations of the youth and student movement after finding fault with them and further intensifying the crackdown upon the progressive media persons.

It is quite natural for people of different circles in south Korea to turn out in protests, unable to repress their resentment at the regime's anti-reunification fascist suppression.

It is the height of folly for the Lee Myung Bak group to run riot to suppress the south Korean people desirous of independence, democracy and reunification at the point of bayonet in a bid to prop up its traitorous rule at any cost.

The Lee dictatorial regime is bound to meet its doom due to the fierce resistance of the people as it is recklessly standing in the way of national reunification, while blocking independent development of the society and violating democracy, concludes the commentary.
