The exterior and the interior of the Pyongyang Grand Theatre are garbed in festive attire for the opening ceremony of the festival.

The East Pyongyang Grand Theatre, the Moranbong Theatre, the State Theatre and other theatres designated for festival performances as well as streets are decked out with slogans, large picture boards and decorations welcoming the participants of the festival.

Festival posters have been pasted up everywhere to add to the festival mood.

Pyongyang Koryo Hotel, Yanggakdo International Hotel and other service centers are waiting for foreign guests, having finished preparations to entertain them on the highest level.

The theatres have completely arranged all the facilities for successful performances, from acoustic and lighting devices, practice rooms, make-up rooms down to public service amenities.
