Pyongyang, April 10 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification made public a statement on April 5 hailing the successful satellite launch in the DPRK. The statement said that the DPRK successfully launched satellite Kwangmyongsong-2, fully demonstrating the might of science and technology as a leading satellite launcher before the whole world. It stressed that no matter how vociferously the U.S., Japan and the Lee Myung Bak dictatorial regime may grumble about "violation of the UN resolution" and cry out for "sanctions" they cannot misrepresent the satellite as a missile nor can they make the DPRK's independent line of building a great prosperous and powerful nation in 2012 go off its track. The imperialists' increasing threat of a nuclear war would only compel the DPRK to reinforce its counter-action and make Korean-style socialism more vital and give further momentum to the spirit of independence against imperialism and self-reliance, the statement noted. It urged the U.S., Japan and the Lee dictatorial regime to immediately stop all hostile activities over the issue of the DPRK's launch of the satellite for peaceful purposes and opt for building a peace-keeping mechanism and contributing to the implementation of the south-north joint declarations. |
