Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- Political parties and organizations of different countries released statements in support of the DPRK's successful satellite launch. The Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, in its statement on Apr. 6, slashed at some countries' moves to strain the situation over the fact that the DPRK succeeded in putting satellite Kwangmyongsong-2 into its orbit by means of carrier rocket Unha-2. The statement pointed out that the successes made by the DPRK in the field of space science are being distorted as a "threat to peace and stability." The Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation supports the desire of the Korean people to contribute to the space development for peaceful purposes, it declared. The statement scathingly assailed the provocation and threat to the DPRK. The Friendship Society Norway-Korea, in its statement issued on the same day, said it is a demonstration of the DPRK's developed capability of space technology that the Korean people successfully launched the satellite with their own efforts and technology. This is one more proud achievement made in the work to raise the nation's space science and technology to higher level, it added. The world's progressive people and friends of the DPRK are rejoiced over the fact that the Korean people successfully launched the satellite by their own efforts despite manifold hardships and difficulties, the statement noted, saying: The society wishes continued successes in the Korean people's efforts to open the gate to a great prosperous and powerful nation in 2012 without fail. |
