At the meeting a reporter and speakers said that Kim Jong Il's reelection to the top post of the state has provided a decisive guarantee for firmly defending, carrying forward and accomplishing the socialist cause of Juche under the ever-victorious banner of Songun and opened an immensely rosy future for the country and the people, the era and the revolution.

Noting that the DPRK is making a great leap forward toward a great prosperous and powerful nation, demonstrating its might before the world as an invincible political and ideological power in which all the servicepersons and people are united around the headquarters of the revolution as firm as a rock and a military power with the matchless revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu and the capacity for self-defence, they said that the stirring reality is a miracle of history wrought by the DPRK as it has held Kim Jong Il in high esteem.

They stressed the need for all the people's security officials and men and the servicepersons of the People's Security Force to display their honor as the political defenders of the Workers' Party of Korea in defending the country and building a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation true to his Songun leadership.

An oath-taking meeting of young vanguard was held at Jonsung Square on the same day for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche generation after generation, holding him in high esteem as chairman of the NDC of the DPRK.
