On display at the venues of events were works of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and books and photos introducing their immortal feats.

Bonakele Majuba, secretary of the Mfumalanga Provincial Committee of the South African Communist Party, said in the lecture titled "Human cause of independence and President Kim Il Sung" that Kim Il Sung enjoys unbounded reverence from the world progressive people as not only the eternal President of the Korean people but also the great pioneer of the human cause of independence.

Ella Rule, vice-chairman of the C.C., Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist), said in a report that Kim Il Sung defeated the two imperialisms, the U.S. and Japan, and built a rich and powerful, prosperous socialist system in Korea, thus proving the superiority of socialism over capitalism in practice.

Keith Bennet, deputy director-general of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, said in a speech that the exploits performed by Kim Il Sung for global independence until the last moments of his life since he embarked on the road of revolution in his teens would remain forever in the hearts of the progressive humankind.

Esko Koskinen, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, in a speech highly praised the undying feats performed by the President for the Korean revolution and the world revolution. And he expressed full support and solidarity with the Korean people in their efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful nation and reunify the country under the seasoned leadership of Kim Jong Il.

Youssef Amin Wali, vice-chairman of the National Democratic Party of Egypt, said that the Korean people have made signal achievements in building a thriving nation under the leadership of Kim Jong Il who is creditably carrying forward the cause of Kim Il Sung. The successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong-2 is a clear proof of them, he added.

A letter and a message to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the events held in Britain and Finland.
