Members of the trade union and other workers held a meeting at the plaza of the Party Founding Memorial Tower, agricultural workers in front of the statue of President Kim Il Sung standing in Chongsan-ri, Kangso County and members of the women's union at the plaza of the Arch of Triumph.

Reporters and speakers said at the meetings that Kim Jong Il's reelection to the top post of the DPRK by the unanimous will of its army and people is the greatest honor and happiness of the nation and the expression of absolute support and trust of all the army and people in a peerlessly great man.

They spoke highly of the immortal exploits Kim Jong Il performed by bringing about epoch-making changes in ideological, political, military, economic and all other fields with a prominent political caliber and extraordinary leadership and demonstrating the dignity and power of the Republic to the world.

They evinced their determination to fling open the gate to a great prosperous and powerful nation in 2012, the centenary of birth of the President, by strikingly demonstrating the heroic spirit and stamina of Songun Korea in the present general advance characterized by the great revolutionary surge.

Present at the meetings held by working people's organizations were Kim Jung Rin, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the trade union, the union of agricultural workers and the women's union and working people.

Similar rallies were held in the seats of North Phyongan Province, Jagang Province and South and North Hamgyong Provinces, too.
