Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Meetings took place in the capitals of South Phyongan Province, South Hwanghae Province, North Hwanghae Province, Kangwon Province and Ryanggang Province on April 13 to warmly congratulate General Secretary Kim Jong Il on his reelection as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.
The meetings were attended by leading officials of the party, power and economic organs and working people's organizations and people from all walks of life, youth and students in the provinces.
The speakers at the meetings said that the single-minded unity of the Party, the army and the people was fully demonstrated through the historic event in which Kim Jong Il was reelected chairman of the NDC.
The stirring reality today when the DPRK is making a general advance for building a thriving nation is a miracle it worked by having Kim Jong Il at the top posts of the Party, the army and the state, they noted.
They called upon all the officials and working people to remain true to the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il and bring about fresh miracles and innovations in the worthwhile drive to build a thriving socialist nation.
