Art performances were given throughout the country to commemorate the day of the sun.

The Samjiyon Music Band of the Mansudae Art Troupe performed at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre in the capital city.

Put on the stage were music "Song of Mangyongdae," music to the accompaniment to violin "Thought of the general," instrumental music and song "Father is on the front" and "Let's drink toasts" and other numbers.

Performed at theatres and halls of culture and open-air stages in North Phyongan, Ryanggang, Kangwon and other provinces were female duet and dance "Spring holiday, the day of the sun," dance "The snow falls" and other colorful numbers.

A grand chorus "Day of the sun everlasting thanks to the great general" was given by 20,000 working people in Hamhung city, a grand chorus and dance "We will hold the leader in high esteem for all ages" by 10,000 women's union members in Hyesan and a grand chorus "People in Kangwon province who have grown stronger in mental power sing of the eternal day of the sun" by working people in Wonsan.

Members of the union of agricultural workers in South Hwanghae and South Hamgyong provinces delighted the working people with rhythmic dances and peasants' music at the venues of peasants' music and dance on the auspicious holiday.

Meanwhile, a lot of the people visited the 11th Kimilsungia Festival venue and Kimilsungia exhibitions in different provinces.
