The letter said that Kim Il Sung's rise as the sun of Juche was a great fortune in the history of the nation spanning 5,000 years as it brought the dawn of national restoration to the land of three thousand-ri and a historic event in which the era of independence dawned on the road of the nation and mankind.

It praised the President as a benefactor of national resurrection and iron-willed commander as he defeated the formidable enemies, the U.S. and Japanese imperialists by exploring the path of the unique Songun revolution and successfully implementing the line of attaching importance to army and military affairs and the father of socialist Korea as he successfully led the social revolution at two stages and socialist construction of various stages to build a power, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence, on the land of the north with his extraordinary leadership.

The President successfully solved the issue of succession to the leadership by making insight into the historical necessity of the issue of carrying forward the cause of Juche with rare clairvoyance, the letter noted, adding that this is the most shining exploit the President performed by enabling the fellow countrymen to be blessed with the illustrious leaders generation after generation.

Kim Jong Il comprehensively developed in depth the Songun idea and line advanced by the President and ushered in the new era of the Juche revolution, the era of Songun with his outstanding Songun politics. He has foiled every move of the reactionaries at home and abroad against the DPRK, fully demonstrating the sovereignty of the country and national dignity before the whole world.

The reelection of Kim Jong Il as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK at the First Session of the 12th Supreme People's Assembly has brought about a new historic turning point in accomplishing the President's cause of building a rich and powerful nation and the Korean people's cause of national reunification.

The letter evinced the resolution of the AINDF to hold the President in high esteem as the eternal sun of Juche and firmly defend his immortal exploits and add shine to them.
