The statement said that the successful launch of the satellite marked another great victory achieved by the Korean people in their struggle for building a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation and a great auspicious event which demonstrated the powerful economic potential and high scientific and technological level of the DPRK.

It sincerely wished the Korean people under the outstanding Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, eternal victory and honor.

The Central Committee of the Bangladesh Communist Party, too, released a statement on Apr. 10 to hail the DPRK's successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong-2.

Sternly condemning the imperialists taking issue with the DPRK's satellite launch, the statement heartily congratulated the successes achieved by the Korean scientists and extended firm solidarity to the Korean people.
