A reporter at the meeting noted that all Koreans are significantly commemorating the 97th birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung as the greatest holiday of the nation.

The President is the eternal leader of the Korean people and the eternal sun of humankind as he personified all personalities and qualifications of a great person on the highest level and performed the enormous feats for the cause of independence of the nation and humankind with his immortal revolutionary idea and through his practical activities, the reporter stressed.

He said that General Secretary Kim Jong Il glorified the 20th century as the century of Kim Il Sung by always guiding to victory the struggle for carrying forward and accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered by the President.

All Koreans in China should conduct a dynamic drive to achieve the prosperous development of the homeland and accelerate the independent national reunification in step with the people of the homeland who are making grand advance to bring the great heyday of the DPRK true to the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il, the reporter urged.

A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting.

Prior to the meeting, there was a photo and book exhibition under the theme of "Comrade Kim Jong Il and Korea today".

On the same day, an art performance and sports games took place at the gymnasium of the said school to commemorate the Day of the Sun.

In another development, the Liaoning Regional Association under the General Association held a seminar on the greatness of the President and other events on April 13 to commemorate his birth anniversary.
