Anti-U.S. Solidarity Rally Held in S. Korea
Pyongyang, April 18 (KCNA) -- Civic and public organizations of south Korea including the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification, the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification and the Confederation of Trade Unions held the 115th anti-U.S. solidarity rally in Seoul on April 14.

The speakers at the rally held that the DPRK's satellite launch is not a matter which allows the U.S. and its followers to take issue with by abusing the UN Security Council as it is an exercise of the right of a sovereign state to use outer space for peaceful purposes.

Looking back on history no country has been to blame for launching a satellite, they said, urging the U.S. not to insist on its far-fetched assertion bereft of impartiality and equilibrium through its groundless misinterpretation.

A joint statement issued at the rally accused the UNSC of issuing what it called "presidential statement" in which it took issue with the DPRK's satellite launch with a brigandish logic without knowing even what was launched.

The statement noted that the U.S., Japan and others should be held responsible for the consequences to be entailed by the release of the illegal and absolutely unreasonable "presidential statement".

In the meantime, representatives of the Solidarity for Progress of south Korea, the Democratic Labor Party, the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration and others called a joint press conference outside the building of the puppet Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on April 15 at which they demanded a halt to the anti-DPRK campaign of the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors and went on a sit-in strike.
