On display in the venue of the meeting were works of the peerlessly great persons and pictures showing their exploits.

The participants in the meeting laid bunches of flowers before the photograph of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il standing together and paid homage to them.

The chairman of the Communist Party of Sweden said that Kim Il Sung, eternal President of the DPRK, is a great man who performed immortal feats not only for the Korean revolution but also for the human cause of independence, adding that all the progressive people of the world are remembering the great life of the President in humble reverence on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.

The international secretary of the above-said party in his speech condemned the U.S. imperialists and the Japanese reactionaries and the south Korean clique of traitors following them for intensifying accusations against the DPRK's legitimate satellite launch and even crying out for the "UN sanctions".

The chairman of the Finnish National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea said that the DPRK built the capability to launch earth satellite despite the imperialists' moves to stifle it and the economic difficulties. This proves the validity and vitality of the Juche idea, the Songun idea, fathered by Kim Il Sung and developed in depth by Kim Jong Il, he added.

A message to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting.

The message said it is one of the great feats performed by the President in his lifetime that he prevented a war on the Korean Peninsula and defended the world peace and ushered in the new era of the national liberation struggle in colonial countries.

The political parties and the organizations for friendship with the Korean people in northern Europe will as ever express invariable support and solidarity with the Korean people in the efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation and achieve the independent peaceful reunification of the country, it said.
