Improvement of DPRK-Japan Relations Demanded in Japan
Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- A meeting of people in Hyogo Prefecture thinking of Japan-DPRK relations was held in Japan on April 7 in demand of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries through dialogue.

Attending it were personages of the Hyogo Prefectural Council for Japan-Korea Friendship, citizens from all walks of life and officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and Koreans in Japan.

A lecture under the subject of "Progress of the DPRK-U.S. relations and prospect of normalization of Japan-DPRK diplomatic relations" was given and then speeches were made at the meeting.

The lecturer and speakers contended that the DPRK's satellite launch is not problematic under international laws, and unveiled the sinister intention of the Japanese government clamoring about the "theory of threat from the DPRK" while kicking up a frantic racket of "interception" with mobilization of regional autonomies.

They slashed at the Japanese government's reckless moves to further tighten the sanctions on the DPRK and strongly urged the government to stop cracking down on the Korean residents in Japan and violating their rights at once.

They called upon the participants in the meeting to wage a more vigorous movement for establishing the Japan-DPRK diplomatic relations.
