The press release read out at the press conference accused the Lee Myung Bak "government" of scheming to fully participate in the U.S.-led PSI after the DPRK's launch of satellite.

The authorities' above-mentioned move is a dangerous act little short of driving the south-north relations to an uncontrollable catastrophe as it precisely means a declaration that it will take an official part in the U.S.-led campaign to impose blockade against the DPRK, the press release noted.

Strongly condemning the authorities' said action utterly indifferent to the national interests, it urged the Lee "government" to halt the action though belatedly.

If the Lee "government" persists in its stand obsessed with worship and sycophancy toward the U.S. and confrontation between the south and the north, it will meet strong resistance of the people, the press released pointed out, warning that it will be held fully responsible for the consequences to be entailed by its action.

At the end of the press conference, members of the political parties and organizations launched a sit-in strike.
