National Seminar on Juche Idea Held in Pakistan

Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- A national seminar on the Juche idea was held in Karachi, Pakistan on April 9 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. Displayed in the venue of the seminar were works of the peerlessly great persons, photos showing their undying feats and books and photos introducing Songun Korea. Present at the seminar were figures of the government, political parties and organizations of Sind Province of Pakistan and members of Juche idea study organizations and organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people. Akrak Aktar Hamidi, chairman of the Society for the Study of Self-Reliance of Pakistan, in his opening address praised Kim Il Sung as the distinguished elder statesman who founded the immortal Juche idea and lightened the road ahead of the progressive humankind struggling for independence, thus performing the undying feats in accomplishing the cause of global independence. The validity and vitality of the Juche idea are now being strikingly demonstrated in the DPRK, he noted. The DPRK has become a model in the era of independence on which the progressive humankind is looking with admiration, he said, adding: This is the result of the outstanding leadership of Kim Jong Il who is further developing and enriching the immortal Juche idea. Javed Ansari, secretary general of the society, said in a speech that the Juche idea is the great guiding idea in the era of independence reflecting the requirements and desire not only of the Korean people but also of the progressive humankind. A senator of Pakistan in his speech stressed that Kim Jong Il has not only developed in depth the immortal Juche idea steadily into the perfect guiding idea in the era of independence but also honorably defended the sovereignty and security of the DPRK with his ever-victorious Songun politics, embodiment of the Juche idea. A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the seminar. |
