Speakers at the service said that they can not repress their astonishment at the reality in which the departed soul of the past dictatorial regime has been revived to swagger about in south Korea as Lee Myung Bak took office.

They deplored that the inter-Korean relations, which had been developed favorably, have been rapidly deteriorated to put into such worst crisis that a military conflict may break out and the people's livelihood has been at stake due to the Lee Myung Bak "government's" economic politics for the rich only.

Noting that neither the police nor the authorities have made even a word of apology though evacuees were ruthlessly killed in the struggle for the right to existence, the speakers charged that everything--people's livelihood, democracy and inter-Korean relations--has been plunged into crisis under the Lee "government".

The present developments, in which the spirit of the April 19 uprising for democratization of society and reunification is totally being violated, make the people keenly feel the need to turn out again in the struggle to overthrow the dictatorial "government" in the spirit of the April 19 uprising and the June resistance, they stated.

They called upon all the people to turn out in the struggle for democracy and reunification.
