At the rally the organizations condemned the Lee Myung Bak "government" for persistently seeking to fully participate in the PSI under the pretext of the north's satellite launch.

The people from all walks of life branded the above-said move as a dangerous criminal act of escalating the military tension on the Korean Peninsula and bringing the inter-Korean relations to a more extreme phase and have strongly called for an end to the move, they noted, and continued:

Nevertheless, the Lee "government" is insisting on its full participation in the PSI, claiming that its move is not related to the north's satellite launch.

They charged that the present "government's" racket for sanctions against the north is a product of the policy of confrontation with the DPRK which amounts to the total denial of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

They demanded the authorities stop at once their move to take part in the PSI aimed at throwing a wet blanket over the movement for the peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula.
